My printing, matting, and framing materials and techniques ensure my customer's investment is preserved for years of enjoyment.
To begin the process, for landscape and nature photographs, I utilize Fujifilm Velvia 100 professional color slide film in 4 x 5 and medium formats for all my color photography. Once developed, the color transparencies are scanned into a high quality digital file, with absolutely no manipulation of the content. For my travel, architecture, golf, and food photographs, I start with a RAW digital capture, with absolutely no manipulation of the content.
Photos are printed with an Epson Stylus Pro 7600 professional wide-format printer using Epson Ultrachrome archival inks & Epson premium photographic paper rated to an 80+ year archival standard, which is equal to or better than the light-fastness rating of any professional commercial printer.
With a strict attention to detail, each print receives a hand cut, acid-free and lignon-free museum quality mount and mat, cut precisely for that individual print. Pure-wood or metal frames are selected to complement the mat colors, photograph colors, and subjects of a particular photograph. All framed photographs are individually framed & professionally finished by CMS Photography using archival, museum quality materials, including glass & plexiglass with UV protection.
Prints are available as either open edition (smaller than 11" x 14" prints) or Limited Special Editions (11" x 14" prints and larger). Limited Special Editions consist of 250 original signed prints or less in each size per print. With every 50 prints sold, the price for that print incrementally increases to ensure my customer's investment increases in value over time as a unique, collectable work of art.
I guarantee my work against any defects in product or craftsmanship for the lifetime of the photograph.
